As the global push for climate action accelerates, businesses are under growing pressure to reduce their carbon emissions and align with national and international net-zero targets. Adopting net-zero strategies not only ensures compliance with emerging regulations but also enhances long-term competitiveness and operational efficiency. A crucial step toward this goal is carbon footprint assessment, which enables businesses to identify emission hotspots, optimize operations, transition to cleaner energy sources, and improve overall environmental performance. These insights form the foundation for implementing effective reduction strategies—ranging from energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy adoption, and waste reduction.
This workshop is designed to introduce industrial stakeholders in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) to the fundamentals of carbon footprinting, its practical assessment, and its critical role in achieving net-zero goals. In addition to expert presentations, the workshop includes a consultation session with specialists from the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).
