Hub Net Zero welcomes the visit of PMU-B

On 27 August 2024, a delegation from the Program Management Unit for Human Resources & Institutional Development, Research and Innovation (PMU-B) visited King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) at KMUTT Bangkhunthien Campus. The purpose of the visit was to review ongoing projects that are funded by PMU-B and explore further collaboration on frontier research under the PMU-B’s Thailand Academy of Sciences (TAS) program.

The delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of KMUTT; Prof. Dr. Morakot Tanticharoen, Senior Advisor to the President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bundit Fungtammasan, Advisor to the President for Research and Innovation; and Dr. Annop Nopharatana, Vice President Bangkhuntien. The PMU-B delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Sompong Klaynongsruang, Director pf PMU-B; Prof. Dr. Chachanat Thebtaranonth, Advisor to the Director; Asst. Prof. Dr. Paripok Phitsuwan, Deputy Director; Dr. Natphasuth Phatirasinsiri, Expert; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jutarop Phetcharaburanin, Expert.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Navadol Laosiripojana, Director of JGSEE, presented the PMU-B-funded project currently implemented by Hub Net Zero, which focuses on developing innovative graduate programs in science and technology to advance net zero emissions goals. Dr. Kalyanee Paithoonrangsarid also provided an overview of the Algal Biotechnology Research Team and their work related to climate change adaptation.
