Seminar on Green Hydrogen: Technology, Production, Storage, Transportation, Design, Infrastructure and Applications

24-26 February 2025

Kamolthip Ballroom, The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok

Green hydrogen is a pivotal clean energy solution essential for reducing carbon emissions and achieving sustainability. With its high efficiency and zero emissions, it holds significant potential to replace conventional fuels. In Thailand, green hydrogen is expected to play a key role in meeting the national net-zero emissions target by 2065, particularly through integration with fuel cell technology for electricity generation. While the technology is advancing rapidly, widespread deployment in the near future will likely be sector-specific, focusing on hard-to-abate industries, heavy transport, and niche applications.

To advance this vision, the IEEE Power & Energy Society (Thailand), in collaboration with the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and the Hydrogen Thailand Club, is organizing a seminar titled “Green Hydrogen: Technology, Production, Storage, Transportation, Design, Infrastructure, and Applications.” The event will explore the latest advancements in green hydrogen technology and its transformative potential for the transportation sector and renewable-based electricity generation. Speakers from leading organizations, including the Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO), the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE) at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, the Energy Research and Development Institute Nakornping at Chiang Mai University, and renowned industry experts, will share their insights.

Topics:

  • The Future of Hydrogen in Thailand: Readiness and Drivers
  • Hydrogen Production and Fuel Cell Technologies
  • Hydrogen Storage, Compression and Transportation Technologies
  • Green Hydrogen from Renewable Energy and Its Safety
  • Case Studies on Integrating Green Hydrogen with the Power Grid and Fuel Stations
