As global demand for sustainable agriculture and climate action continues to grow, engaging in carbon credit initiatives has become essential for staying competitive and environmentally responsible. Rice, Thailand’s most widely cultivated and economically significant crop, offers vast potential for integrating sustainable practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This training course provides a valuable opportunity to understand these opportunities, preparing participants to navigate and leverage the expanding carbon credit markets both locally and internationally.
This course is designed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills related to agricultural carbon credit projects, with a specific focus on rice cultivation. Key topics include:
- Thailand Voluntary Emission Reduction Program (T-VER) for Agriculture:
- International Carbon Credit Programs such as Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), Gold Standard, and Verified Carbon Standard (VCS).
